A Little Lush Haul

I just got back from a shopping spree! and of course I had to visit Lush and pick up some goodies that were too good to not pass up.

♡  Tisty Tosty Bath Bomb: I've never actually tried this one before but it was too beautiful to not purchase! It is floral scented which I'm not normally a fan of but this one has a faint rose scent which smells beautiful and is definitely a good one for this Autumn/Winter season! I heard this one was good for stress relief which is a must as I'm in an exam period.

♡  Twilight Bath Bomb: This has to be my all time favourite Lush scent! It smells kind of like spices which is absolutely divine. It's very warming and calming which I love. I've used this one before and it makes your bath look like the night sky so i'm very excited to use this one again!

♡  Big Blue Bath Bomb: I've never seen this one in stores before so I'm very keen to use it. This one is a mixture of lemon and lavender so it's seems quite relaxing. I love the shade of blue which is part of the reason I picked it up! I also heard this one is good for soreness in the muscle which is well needed right now!

They are the lovely Lush goodies I picked up today. I kept it minimal as I still am yet to use a bunch more Christmas bath bombs and bars in my basket!. I'm so excited for the Easter collection this year, I heard they're really good!

Review: New Chapstick Natural Papaw Lip Balm

I was lucky enough to try out the new Chapstick Natural Papaw lip balm! I'm a massive lover of lip balms; I always have one on hand. Chapstick make so many amazing balms in so many flavours so I was very keen on trying this one out.

When I first tried this out, I was so happy with the formula. Papaw is known to sooth the lips so it wasn't a shock to me. This balm soothes, moisturises and protects the lips from cracks and dryness. It gives the appearance of healthy looking lips which I adore! The packaging is super cute in a neon coral colour which is fun and bright so you look stylish whilst applying your lip balm *laughs at self*. What I love about this balm is that when you apply it, it glides on in a buttery texture which is amazing because most lip balms I've tried apply quite rough and I really have to press the product on my lips.  It claims to have 8 hour wear, which I do believe because throughout the day my lips were still soft! Most lip balms need re applying even after 5 minutes of application but this one keeps your lips moisturised which is awesome. I've been loving applying this soon as I wake up and before I go to bed. When I wake up, my lips feel nice and soft for the day ahead.

Chapstick Natural Papaw Lip Balms retail for $4.99 which I think is worth the money. If you want a balm that's going to help with dry lips, then definitely check this one out. It's currently not out yet in stores, but will be available soon in Priceline.

I hope this made you excited for this new balm! I think i've found my holy grail Chapstick!

2015 February Favourites ♡

Okay, as if summers over and it's already March! This month was a little emotional roller coaster. I had to make some changes in my life and I'm finally able to say that I'm much happier and at peace as we speak! I discovered a couple of new things in February, although, I'm always on the hunt for more!

Beauty products I've been loving
✿ Make - up

Rimmel Match Perfection Foundation in '100 Ivory': I featured this product in a haul not too long ago. I love this foundation; Believe it or not it's actually my first ever foundation that I've owned! What I love is that it's light weight so it's perfect for someone like me who is just starting to get into foundation! It gives a light-medium coverage and is definitely build able. It looks really natural and glowing on the skin, it sets beautifully and lasts a decent amount of time. It also has SPF15+ which is a bonus.

Maybelline Instant Age Rewind Concealer in '160 Brightener/Illuminator': I also mentioned this in a haul; I'm a massive fan of the fair shade in the collection. I heard that this shade in particular was being discontinued so I picked it up to try and I adore it! The brightener, I find adds such light back under the eyes and really makes you look awake! It adds perfect coverage, it's creamy and easy to blend. This paired up with the match perfection foundation is a match made in heaven!

Maybelline Brow Drama Sculpting Brow Mascara in 'dark brown': I have really been enjoying this brow product. It's perfect at sculpting and setting my brows in place all day. I still don't understand the wand because it's quite hard to use without getting it everywhere. Luckily I have a steady hand enough to actually get the product on my brows! The product itself is perfect for everyday wear. It lasts a long time and keeps your brows in place all day!

Essence Long Lasting Eye Pencil in '01 Black Fever': I always rave about these eye pencils! They last ages, they're pigmented, they're in expensive and they don't get enough hype! I like to wear this one in my tight line for school/work and always get compliments. It doesn't budge all day which is what I love. I always recommend these to people!

Essence Long Lasting Eye Pencil in '19 Hot Scorch': Just as the black one, I love pairing this with it! It's a beautiful copper/bronze shade which again, is long wearing and lasts ages. I like to wear this one on my lower lash line and blend it out with my finger. Beautiful shade and would look amazing on blue eyes!

Real Techniques Duo-Fiber Face Brush: I absolutely adore this brush! It's perfect for powder, blush or bronzer. I love it to touch up my oiliness with a powder. It adds and picks up just the right amount of product to lightly dust on your face. It's so soft, which I love plus it's so easy to clean!

Natio Cleanser Applicator? I have no glue what this is called because it came in my mothers skin care set. (I'm aware there are plenty of these things from other brands) I have been loving including this in my skin care routine. It basically gets off any excess product left on the skin. When you wash your face with a cleanser using your hands, you're only really taking off what's on the surface. With this tool, you can get deeper into your skin to really clean your face. Been loving it and my skin feels a lot nicer!

✿ Music:

Take Me Over (feat.SAFIA) - Peking Duk
I Want You To Know (feat. Selena Gomez) - Zedd
Reminds Me Of You - Sam Smith
Clouds - One Direction

✿ Movie:

Love, Rosie. I really enjoyed this movie. It's a romantic comedy with my favourite, Lily Collins. The story is a little complicated to explain but definitely watch the trailer to see if you'd like it because it was what I hoped for!

✿ Food:

Quest Bars. yum! I'm craving one as we speak. I love quest bars, I've only tried 3 of the flavours but my favourite is probably 'cookies & cream'. It's an amazing source of protein and a treat! You wouldn't think it was good for you because it tastes so good! Perfect before/after workout snack!

✿ You-tuber/Blogger:

Essena O'neil. I've been obsessing over her! Her Instagram is amazing, her view on life is inspiring and I've just been enjoying her videos and reading her blog. If you're into lifestyle/plant based living/equity, then definitely check her out.

✿ Memory:

One Direction 'On The Road Again Tour'. Pretty sure this night was the funnest and most hectic. I saw 1D live at the beginning of the month with opening acts Mcbusted (who were incredible). I remember loosing my voice, screaming my lungs out and not being able to walk the next day. It was a surreal experience; highlight of my year so far!

They are my February Favourites! I hope March brings exciting new opportunities. Try to say YES to something you normally wouldn't and see where it brings you.

Change the way you think; self talk

Our minds are incredible. They control the way we act, speak, think and go about our every day lives. There's only one thing that sucks about the mind. It's the fact that we have to think negatively and have a negative outlook on things. Sometimes we let the mind take control of us and to a point where we stress out over nothing and put ourselves down for it.

However, there are ways in which we can change our unfavourable way of thinking. Self talk is the best way to get where we want to be in life. It's easy and a little confidence boost once in a while is definitely needed in situations where we feel down....

1. Look at the situation from a different perspective: Thinking about something negatively may be different in someone else's eyes. Ask yourself "what would happen if.....?" or "what would they consider?".

2. Recognise your faults: This will allow you to think "how can I improve/change for the better?", "how can I take it that one step further to allow my self to grow?","How can I use my virtues to bring exciting new opportunities?" Recognising your faults and failures will only make you stronger.

3. Set goals: Setting goals is the best way to get to where you want to be. Tell yourself "These are my goals", "How can I achieve them?" "What's the outcome/benefit?". Once you achieve your goals, you'll feel better about yourself. It boosts your confidence!

4. Believe in yourself: If you feel like you can't do something, you feel like giving up or you're scared of the outcome, BELIEVE IN YOURSELF! and tell yourself you CAN do it! Don't back away if things might frighten you, don't be afraid to say something and speak aloud. Believe you can. Tell yourself "I can do this!", "I will work for this". If you tell yourself you can't do it, you'll only fail and put yourself down for it. Tell yourself you can even if you think you can't, you'll thank yourself later.

I give up - I'll give it another try

I've never done that before - I'll learn something new

I can't do it - I can if I keep believing

- They're just some of the ways I like to change a negative thought into a positive. Be kind to yourself because at the end of the day, life's too short to think about things that don't matter.
