Collective Beauty Haul

I've accumulated some goods! I know, I know, I recently did a make-up haul but some things in this haul were needs! and some were too good not to pass.

Keep in mind, I did not purchase these all at once, I've got these over the past few weeks/month since my last haul.

Rimmel Match Perfection Foundation, '100 Ivory': I've never owned a foundation before (believe it or not). I picked this one up because I've seen many people raving about it, and it was also on sale. I might do a review on this when I get around to wearing it.

Maybelline Instant Age Rewind Concealer: a little birdy told me that the brightener shade from the collection is going to be removed from the line! I normally pick up the fair shade but I wanted to try the brightener. They were discounted so I bought 3 (the other is currently in use).

Rimmel Wake Me Up Concealer '010 Ivory': I'm a concealer addict, okay! I ran out so I had to repurchase. This is basically a staple in my collection. I love it to brighten up the under eye and cover up spots.

Shanghai Suzy Lipsticks 'Miss Leah, Baby Cocoa' & 'Miss Bree, Pink Blush': I had to pick up these babies. I got mine from Rouche Boutique  and I have to say that I'm not a fan on the new packaging. I think it looks tacky. However, the product and formula is amazing. Unfortunately one of the lipsticks was broken when I received it in the post, I blame the mail man.

Rimmel Lasting Finish Kate Lipstick in 107: I have to blame Zoella  for this purchase. I'm trying to expand my collection on darker lipsticks so I had to buy this. It's a beautiful burgundy-red shade. I can't wait to wear it this Autumn/Winter.

NYX Butter Lipsticks; (top to bottom) '09 Candy Buttons', '14 Taffy' & '03 Snow Cap': These came in a set of 3. The one thing I love about these is that the colour of the packaging is true to the colour of the lipstick. The formula of these is buttery and creamy. They add a gorgeous colour to the lips. They're not very opaque but it's nice for school/work/when you don't want to wear a lot of make up.

Covergirl Lastblast Volume Mascara: I remember loving this mascara quite some time ago. I thought it was time to finally repurchase it. I adored this mascara, I remember my lashes looking soft, clump free and voluminous.

Maybelline Brow Drama, Sculpting Brow Mascara in 'Dark Brown': I thought I'd purchase this as my Benefit Gimme Brow is starting to dry up. I am really loving this product. It makes my brows look natural and tamed. I'm not really a fan of the ball wand, however the product is really good at keeping my eyebrows in place all day.

and they were the lovely products I collected over the past couple of weeks or so.

Kisses,

Xo

Best Looks at the 2015 Grammy Awards

The 2015 Grammy Awards recently passed us and the gowns on the carpet this year were stunning! Here are my favourite looks from the night!

Lady Gaga: Gaga looked incredible! She wore a silver gown with a slit and low cut top; It's something different from what we normally see her wear and I am obsessed! Accessory wise, she kept it simple with a green bracelet and green stone necklace to add some colour into the look! Love this outfit and was definitely a favourite from the night!

BeyoncĂ©: Queen B looked absolutely gorgeous! She wore this long sleeved-black gown with a low cut v-shape at the top. What I love about this dress is the band around the waist. It cinches in and pulls the whole look together! Hair and make-up wise, BeyoncĂ© kept it simple and classy with a natural wave, nude lip and subtle eye. This dress looked amazing on her!

Taylor Swift: I know for a fact that this dress blew everyone away! Tay wore a gorgeous teal gown that comes in at the waist and flows out. I love the shortness in the middle that shows off Taylor's long legs. What I love is that she wore purple pumps! Teal and purple compliment each other well and miss Swift definitely pulled this one off!

Ariana Grande: I adore this dress on Ariana. Definitely my favourite look on her! She wore this white dress with silver detail, paired up with white pointed pumps. This dress is a beautiful cut on Ariana. As for hair, she kept it in a high pony, keeping it super chic with a nude lip and winged liner.

Nicki Minaj: Nicki looked amazing on the carpet! She wore this black dress that is fitting to just above the knee, and drops in sparkling tassels. This dress looks super flattering on Nicki. What we've seen a lot this year, is the low-cut shape on the chest area which looks sexy and chic. As for hair, she had it slick back, behind her shoulders keeping the dress the main focus.

Miley Cyrus: Can we just appreciate how stunning Miley looks! I love this dress. It's a gorgeous black gown with cut outs that look very flattering on Miley. This dress is by Alexandre Vauthier Haute Couture. It looks amazing on her! She kept her accessories at minimal and kept the hair and make-up natural.

Katy Perry: Katy looked amazing in Zuhair Murad Couture. It something different as most ladies on the runway wore a long gown. Katy didn't add any accessories as the main attention was focused on the stunning dress. What blew everyone away was her purple hair and gorgeous make up. The subtle smokey eye and neutral lip is definitely a trend on the runway.

Jesse J: Jesse looked stunning on the night! She wore this gorgeous black, sheer dress with floral detailing. The sequence on the gown really stood out. Still keeping it chic as Jesse always does. She kept her hair behind her ears and added a berry lip to complete the look.

Kim Kardashian: Kim K looked stunning wearing this gold, sparking gown from Jean Paul Gaultier Haute Couture. Kim kept the accessories at minimal to keep to main attraction on the dress. As for make-up, she had beautiful, bronzed skin (as Kim loves) and a nude lip. She rocks the short hair!

Jhene Aiko: Jhene looked so beautiful wearing this cream/dusty pink dress. It's definitely something girly and we didn't see too many gowns like this on the carpet this year. Jhene chose dainty pieces of jewellery to compliment the dress. It's a beautiful shape on her and I'm in love!

They were my favourite looks from the Grammy Awards 2015! Who was your favourite?

I can't be myself

I haven't written about my thoughts in a while and I've been in a tough mindset for a long time.... I've always been that person who tries to fix things, whether it's an eyeshadow that has been smashed, a friendship that needs resolving and a relationship that is falling apart...

Growing up, you're constantly having things thrown at you. Being thrown challenges and obstacles that are supposed to make you who you are. For me, still being in that process, I'm trying to understand why those challenges are more like punishments. Punishments for things I've never done. This results in hardship, loosing trust and hiding.

No matter what your personality is like, there's always something or someone that has to get in the way of that.

It's hard in today's society to be true to who we are because we believe we are getting judged. In some cases, that can be true and it sucks... Some of us tend to change or act different around people because we feel left out. - You can't say that you haven't said you liked something for the sake of a friendship.

In my case, I feel like I'm trying to fit in and be happy all the time when I'm really not being myself and hiding away from my problems. I guess that's all apart of teen-hood and finding out who you are. What I don't understand is why I can't be myself around the ones I love. It seems like lost trust to me. - Why do I have to hide who I am in front of people? The truth is, I can't be myself.... I'm still working on finding out who I am as a person and dealing with the hurdles in life make it a lot harder. One being, 'friends' who aren't encouraging, supportive and/or motivating. I want to be happy, but that can't happen if I'm pretending to be.

True happiness comes from within and who you surround yourself with.

I've learnt that if you feel 'awkward' or 'different' around your 'friends', it's time to move on and be around people who make you laugh and care about you. People who will ask you how your day was and are there for you when you need it. Someone who will understand the situation you're in and having that bond that will make you happier and a better person.

Moral: Don't let anyone make you feel unhappy. Remove the negative, think positive and be yourself. You'll find someone who will love and care about you, for YOU!

Time is limited, don't waste it.

2015 January Favourites ♡

If you are reading this, congratulations on surviving the first month of 2015! My start to the year wasn't terrible but it wasn't that good either. Definitely got a bunch of things thrown at me that made me feel miserable. However, it's a new month, a new beginning I like to think...

✿ Make up:

Napoleon Matte Eye Ink in Black: Old discovery, I love this eyeliner! It's so easy to use and the fine tip allows precision. It dries matte, doesn't budge and easy to work with. I've been loving a good cat flick this month and this is my essential. I've had this for a while now and it hasn't dried up yet!

Benefit Posie Tint & Benefit High Beam: First off, how cute and tiny are these! Posie Tint is a beautiful cheek colour, it also can be used on the lips. It's a natural subtle pink that adds the right amount of flush to the cheeks. Perfect for school or when you need a bit of life brought back into your face. High Beam is a stunning high lighter that gives your skin a beautiful, healthy glow. It's a champagne-pink colour and sparkles in the sun light. A little goes a long way!

✿ Tools:

Sigma Tapered Blending E40 brush: Literal life saver! I love this brush a lot. I use it to apply bronzer into my crease, contouring my nose, blending out shades and to apply an all over the lid wash of colour. It's so soft and blends eyeshadows really well. It's a good size too if you want a job done quick. If you need a good blending brush for multiple purposes, check this one out.

✿ For the skin:

Simple Kind To Skin Hydrating Light Moisturiser: Love this moisturiser for every day use. I use it day and night and it refreshens my skin. I have combination to oily skin and this makes it feel nice and fresh. It's not an oily formula; it's very lightweight and leaves your skin feeling soft. Only downside is that theres no SPF but I wear sunscreen anyway.

NKD Face Clay Mask: I'm a massive fan of the NKD Hair Mask as I have featured it in my blog before. I came to a conclusion that it was time to purchase this mask because my skin was feeling really yuck and in need of a boost. This is a clay mask; it has a thick constancy and leaves your skin feeling amazing. I leave this on until it hardens and starts to crack, (best feeling ever) then I wash it off. My skin looks a lot brighter and feels refreshed. Highly recommend trying out the products from NKD because they're so good and worth the money!

✿ For the "wow you're so tanned":

Bondi Sands Self Tanning Foam; Light/Medium: I have been obsessed and in love with this self tanner for as long as I can remember but always forget to feature it on my blog. It's incredible! I like to fake tan my legs because they're extremely pale compared to the rest of my body. This tan is natural, streak free and doesn't make you look like an oompa-loompa. It doesn't smell like your standard fake tan. It smells like coconuts but it's not too overwhelming which I like. The tan dries pretty fast and develops after about an hour. I like this because when it wears off, it's not patchy. Worth trying.

✿ For the hair:

VO5 Strong Hold, Weather Resistant HairSpray: Been loving this hair spray. (1) It's pink and (2) it works well on my hair. I find with this hairspray that it doesn't leave your hair feeling crunchy but still holds it in place. My hair is fine and straight so when I curl my hair I need a good hold or else the curls will drop. This hairspray has helped! I wouldn't say it's 'weather resistant' because my hair still frizzed on those humid summer days. Besides that, it's a lovely product.

Wet Brush: Why wasn't this brush invented years ago?! I love it! After I get out of the shower my hair is really knotty and because my hair is so thin, it tends to fall out a lot. This brush doesn't tug on my hair and smooths it out leaving my hair knot free. The bristles are soft and gentle on my hair and has literally saved my life.

✿ Music:

- Hold Back The River by James Bay
- Stealing Cars by James Bay
- One of Those Nights by Shawn Mendes
- Elastic Heart by Sia
- Heartbreak Dream by Betty Who
- Irresistible by Fall Out Boy
- Love Me Like You Do by Ellie Goulding
- Hotel Ceiling by Rixton

✿ Movies:

Harry Potter (oh my goodness, why didn't I watch this sooner in my life!) I don't have a favourite out of the films as I'm yet to watch The Deathly Hallows Part 1 and 2. I'm so in love! I want to be at Hogwarts and be a wizard!

✿ Food:

Bounce Protein Balls! I wish I had a photo to show you but I was hungry. My favourite flavour is Coconut & Macadamia. It tastes so good and is made with all natural ingredients so it's beneficial. I love to eat one before or after I workout for a little energy boost.

✿ Memory:

My favourite memory of the month was collecting sea shells by the beach. It was relaxing and fun. Now I have cute little room decor!

They were my January favourites! I'm excited for February because I'm seeing One Direction! I hope this next month is good to you
