Best looks at the 2014 American Music Awards

So the American Music Awards were on. Besides recognising amazing artists, the fashion, hair and make up looks always get me excited. This year there were some gorgeous gowns on the red carpet and these happen to be the ones that caught my eye.

1. Selena Gomez: This was my absolute favourite from the night. If you know me you know that Selena is my major girl crush and when she walked the carpet in an Armani Prive gown I instantly fell in love. My favourite part of the dress is the back! The cut out is stunning and looks super flattering and chic on miss Gomez. Simple sleek low bun and a stunning red lip to finish the look.

2. Fergie: Another favourite on the carpet. The beautiful Fergie pulled off this gorgeous Halston Heritage gown from the Spring 2015 collection. Love love love the slit showing off the shoes. Fergie kept her hair and make up simple leaving the main attention on the amazing outfit. Add a gold belt and a few rings and you're good to go!

3. Jennifer Lopez: An award show would not be complete without the stunning JLO. She can literally wear anything and still look like a goddess. This creamy silk dress looks gorgeous with Jen's skin tone. She kept the hair super sleeked back with a sexy smokey eye and nude lip. Add a gold clutch, pointed pumps and you're red carpet ready.

4. Kendall Jenner, Khloe Kardashian & Kylie Jenner: These three lovelies killed the carpet wearing these gorgeous dresses. All three wore black pointed pumps and kept their looks super shiek and stunning. I adore the wine colour of Kylie's dress and I love how she wore the same colour on her lips.

5. Jordin Sparks: Jordin definitely sparked the carpet wearing this stunning Halston Heritage gown from the Fall 2014 line. Love the slit, the bronze sheen and strappy black heels. Her make up was kept simple and her hair was left out all curly and glam.

6. Jessie J: Jessie is wearing an ivory suit designed by Prada Milan, very chic and classy.
Something she always goes for. Her hair is slicked back, she kept her accessories simple and topped it off with a black clutch. As for Makeup she went with a nude lip with a neural eye and played up with the lashes to complete the look.

7. Nicki Minaj: The gorgeous Nicki, wore a stunning mock dress by Alexander Wang. (Let's talk about how amazing her legs look in this dress.) I love how Nicki's fashion choices are changing but she still keeps it a little quirky with a few unique accessories to show off her personality. For example; the cuff bracelet. Miss Minaj completed the look with a pair of black pointed pumps and smashed the red carpet!

8. Danai Gurira: How freaking stunning does Danai look in this Naeem Khan Resort 2015 gown?! I love love love the colour of the dress. It goes incredibly beautiful with her skin tone. Danai paired the look with little accessories and a neutral make up look to keep the main attention on the gorgeous detail of the dress. STUNNING LADY!

9. Rita Ora: There wasn't too much boldness on the carpet this year, however as always the beautiful Miss Rita Ora loves a bright colour. She wore an electric yellow Zac Posen gown and rocked the AMA's. Her hair and make up were super sleek and chic She kept her accessories at minimal, pairing the look up with a gold clutch to keep the main focus on the bright dress. Love the shape of the gown on Rita, super glam and fun.

10. One Direction: Had to include these loves because of how dapper they all looked wearing complimentary black and a little cheetah print. *giggles*

Jennifer Lawrence: Mocking Jay; Part 1 Premiere

Jennifer Lawrence is a beauty goddess. She can literally wear anything and look absolutely stunning.
As well the Hunger Games, I'm a massive fan of Jen and who she is as a person, her style and her attitude.

Mocking Jay Part 1, premiered recently and I'm still yet to see the film but I adore the looks on the carpet this year. These are the dresses Jennifer Lawrence wore, which I'm in love with.

Jennifer wore a stunning Dior quilted pale blue dress in London to the premiere. I love the cut of the dress. Shortness at the front and a long flow at the back. The back of the dress has a dip cutout which balances out the look because the front is higher up. Jen paired the dress up with a black sandal heel to keep the main attention on the dress.

Jennifers make up was absolutely stunning. The kohl around the eyes made her green eyes pop as well as the pink gloss on the lips. Jens hair was slick back with a blank headband which is really hitting up the red carpet at the moment.

This is probably my favourite look on Jen. This was from the after party in London and I adore it! Jen is wearing a gorgeous beige Mugler dress paired up with Jimmy Choo shoes. I'm obsessed with the cut out and slit at the bottom. The slit really shows off the heels keeping it sleek and chic.

Her make up was stunning with again, a black kohl smoke around the eye and neutral pink lip. Jen removed the headband and kept the hair super simple and out of her face to show off the gorgeous look.

Which dress was your favourite? I love her after party one, but she looks gorgeous in both!

Are they even worth it? Too Faced Melted Lipstick

So I finally got a chance to try out a Too Faced Melted Lipstick. Mine is in the shade "Melted Violet". It's a stunning shade and super bright. These are basically liquified, long wearing lip sticks in the form of a lip gloss. I do love it but I wish I got a different shade as it's really bold but all the others were sold out. If you're into crazy bright purples then you'll definitely love this. It glides on super nice and comfortably coats the lips in bursts of intense colour. It is very long wearing and the application is very easy. I am a massive fan of the Too Faced packaging and this definitely is the prettiest.  This costs $28 from Mecca Maxima if you're from Australia. I would highly recommend trying out the Too Faced Melted Lip Sticks. I believe there are a total of 8 shades in the collection so hopefully you find one you like.

- Are they even worth it? I think they're definitely worth it. I would, as I said, choose a different shade but I think this will be a fun to play around with.

Reflection: Behaviour, Sense of Self & Actions

Constant negative thoughts cross my mind, stress builds, challenges become harder, and life just gets a lot tougher. The feeling of being obscured, in doubt or un certained about the choices we make in life can get overwhelming and make us feel un happy. Lately, I've had time to reflect on my behaviour, my sense of self and my actions.

My behaviour is shown through the people who I surround myself with. For example; if I surround my self with people with negative attitudes, It reflects my behaviour, and makes me a negative person. If I surround myself with people with positive attitudes, it makes me a better person.
I always, always tell myself that the people around me are going to influence my behaviour. I want to be a happy, positive person but that can only happen if I am around people who portray those behaviours.

My sense of self is determined by the way I look and feel. For example; if I am constantly picking out flaws on myself, i'm going to be a very insecure and miserable person. It's okay to have insecurities, things we don't like about ourselves, however, I constantly tell myself that no one in the world looks like me and has these features. I am unique, you are unique. We need to start reminding ourselves that we are all human, we all have different appearances. Even if we don't particularly like our appearance, it's what we are born with and what we need to embrace!

My actions are portrayed by the people around me. As well as my behaviour, the way I think and act also are determined by the people who I surround myself with. For example; if I surround myself with people who are positive, energetic, supportive, kind, considerate, generous and loving, it reflects on my actions and makes me healthier and happier. If it was the opposite and if I surrounded my self with people who are negative, furious, pissed off, annoyed, rude and un supportive, it's going to reflect on my actions and make me upset and life is way too short to be anything but happy!

Behaviour, Sense of Self and Actions. All three come from the people around us, the choices we make and the challenges we face. These continue to make us stronger, more powerful and a better person than we are today.

October Beauty Favourites

October was an intriguing, stressful yet lovely month. If you didn't already know, my birthday started off the month which was pretty exciting. I love birthdays and who doesn't love getting presents! I tried out and rediscovered a bunch of new products this month. So here are my October Favourites!

Australis Fresh & Flawless Pressed Powder, Natural: A rediscovery for me. I used to adore this powder, I believe it was one of my first make up purchases. I love the finish it gives, it sets your make up in place and gives a little coverage. This is oil and fragrance free and a great touch up powder for a radiant matte complexion.

Bourjois Chocolate Bronzing Powder: I can't believe it has taken me so long to try out this bronzer! I AM IN LOVE! This bronzer looks like chocolate and smells like chocolate. It adds a radiant, healthy glow to the skin for an all over bronze or contour. It has a slight hint of shimmer which looks gorgeous when the sun hits. Highly, highly recommend!

Rimmel Wake Me Up Concealor, Ivory: Another rediscovery. I remember being obsessed with this concealor because of miss Tanya Burr on youtube. This product is great for brightening up under the eyes. I apply this in a triangle shape under my eyes and pat it in using my ring finger and it instantly brightens up my face. It's very light weight and perfect for touch up.

Mac Lustre Lipstick; Lovelorn: I've officially lost my Mac Lipstick virginity thanks to my lovely friend Emily who picked this up in Hawaii. This is the prettiest pink shade! It glides on super nice and gives the most gorgeous finish on the lips. I don't know if it's a Mac thing but this lipstick smells like cake! Super pretty and suits every skin tone.

NYX Mega Shine Lip Gloss:, 129 Beige: This is definitely not a beige, a perfect mid pink instead. This is a super gorgeous opaque gloss which I adore. It's perfect for Spring and looks amazing on top of my Mac Lipstick in Lovelorn. The only thing I dislike about it is the scent. It smells like medicine! But other than that it's a gorgeous, non sticky, pretty pink lipgloss which I have been enjoying this past month.

Benefit Gimmie Brow, Medium/Deep: Best invention ever. Quickest, easiest, cutest little brow product ever. I've been obsessed with this brow mascara. It tints and tames your brows and it gives it a natural look. My brows look great every time I use this so I would recommend this if you're on a hunt for a good product for filling in your brows. If you're on a budget then I believe Maybelline has a new brow mascara which I'm yet to try.

Rimmel 60 second nail polish, 262 Ring a Ring O' Roses: This is a pretty baby pink nail varnish. I have been wearing it every day this month! The one thing I adore about this is how fast it dries. If you hate painting your nails like me, this dries really quick! It takes about 2-3 coats to get full opaque -ness and it's perfect for Spring!

NKD Hair, Citrus Hair Mask: This hair mask has saved my life. On pamper evenings, I like to run a warm bath and put this in my hair and leave it for about 10-15 minutes then rise it off. It makes my hair feel so soft and leaves my hair smelling like citrus. It makes my hair shiny and feels light weight.

Music:

1. Life of the Party - Shawn Mendes
2. I need you - M83
3. I won't love you any less - Nat & Alex Wolf
4. Let me in - Grouplove
5. Pumpin Blood - NONONO

So, these are my October Beauty Favourites! I hope you all had a Happy Halloween and have an amazing November!
