Best Beauty Secrets

Over the years I have come across these beauty tips and tricks. Gaining knowledge about beauty is always fun and exciting. These have helped me, so they will most likely help you.

1. Vaseline is a girls best friend. Apply to the tips of your eye lashes. Not only will they make your eyes shine but will make them grow longer. Also, applying a small amount of vaseline to your eyebrows will tame them!

2. Apply lip gloss to the centre of your lips. They will appear larger and fuller.

3. Drinking up to 2L of water a day makes your skin glow! Plus, you feel a lot more hydrated.

4. Placing a cold spoon under your eye gets rid of puffiness.

5. Exfoliating your lips is very important. If you don't own a fancy lip scrub, try using a tooth brush gently, in circular motions.

6. Exfoliating the skin at least 1-2 times a week will make makeup application easier.

7. Choosing a lipstick with blue undertones makes your teeth look whiter.

8. Never rub in concealer, always pat it in gently. This will reduce fine lines.

9. To make your eyes appear larger, apply a neutral eye pencil to the lower waterline.

10. Always remove your make up at night! It can be hard when you're exhausted but it will prevent the clogging of pores and prevent acne.

I hope you learnt something knew!

Party Make Up Look

I never get invited to parties but instead I sit at home and play around with different products to create looks that I would wear if I did get invited.

Okay, so I created a look involving a peach and blue eye + a bright lip.
This is a fail because the colours didn't show up on camera but if you squint, imagine that it's there.

 These are the products I used to create this look...
(im slapping myself because you can't see how amazing the peach shadow looked in real life)

For the eyes:

I applied my L'Oreal infallible eye shadow; 034 Pepsy Coral  3/4 the way on my eye lid.

Quick tip: Use a wet brush to achieve full colour pay off.

I applied my NYX Jumbo eye pencil; 632 Peacock Paon to the outer part of the eye, in a V shape.
I also used it in my water line.

I used the darker blue in my ELF Brightening eye shadow quad; 2021 Ocean Dreams close to the upper lash line on top of the NYX eye pencil to darken it up a bit.

Then we blend...

I then went and used my Maybelline Master precise liquid liner and created a small line above my upper lashes then winged it out.

I used my Maybelline the falsies big eyes mascara and applied it to my top and bottom lashes then applied false lashes. The lashes I used are ARDELL 102 Demi Black

For the face;

I used my Too Faced Sweet Heart Blush in the shade Candy coral on the apples of my cheeks working my way up towards to temples to give my skin a heathy glow

Followed by my Too Faced Chocolate Soleil (mini) bronzer to contour and bronze up my skin.
I also used the bronzer in the crease of my eye to blend the eye shadows out.

For the lips;

I topped it off with my Revlon Matte Balm in 210 Unapologetic

That's the look, super simple and fun.
( and.....sorry that the shadows don't show up on camera, I'm working it out)

All About The Red Lips

Red lip products can be hard to find the right shade that suits you.
These are the red lip products I reach for;

Bourjois Color Boost Lip Crayon; 01 Red Sunrise
Essence Stay With Me Long Lasting Lip Gloss; 03 Candy Bar
Tanya Burr Lip Gloss; Vampire Kiss
Revlon Lip Butter; 063 Wild Watermelon
Maybelline Colorsensational Lip Stick; 625 Are You RED-DY

( Swatches from L-R)

♡ Revlon Lip Butter; 063 Wild Watermelon - I mentioned this in my Top 5 Drugstore Lip Products. This is a gorgeous blue based red. It's not too bright so it's perfect for anyone who wants something bold but not too over powering. You also can easily build up the colour. It's moisturising and is also perfect for day wear.

♡ Bourjois Color Boost Lip Crayon; 01 Red Sunrise. This is my go-to red lip. Again, it's not too bright when on the lips so it's perfect if you don't want to go bold. Also, blue based, moisturising and build able. It's really easy to apply as I find most practical with reds. These crayons claim to be 24 hour wear, which I can't say is true but it's definitely one of my favourite reds.

♡ Maybelline Colorsensational Lip Stick; 625 Are You RED-DY - Classic red shade. Very opaque and long lasting. It has blue undertones but only slightly, it's mostly just a standard red. It also makes your teeth white!

♡ Essence Stay With Me Long Lasting Lip Gloss; 03 Candy Bar - I'd say this is more of a blood orange tone but still classified as a red. This is a very nice and long wearing, inexpensive lip gloss with amazing colour pay off. It's not as bright on the lips so it's good if you like a toned down red. This is super glossy and not sticky. Would definitely recommend trying it.

♡ Tanya Burr Lip Gloss; Vampire Kiss - This is more of a deeper red. So beautiful on the lips. I love Tanya Burr lip glosses because of the amazing colour pay off. They smell amazing and are not sticky. This has blue undertones (as all my reds do because they suit my skin tone) but I think will look good on everyone. This also smells really good as a bonus *haha*.

Red lips are stunning and make a girl look fierce. There's a red for everyone and anyone, these just happen to be my favourites.

August Beauty Favourites

We've come to the end of the month which means August beauty favourites!

These are the beauty products I have been loving this August.

Real Techniques; Expert Face Brush: excuse the dirtiness, I promise I clean it. I've been loving this brush a lot. I don't wear foundation but I do wear concealer. I use concealer on places where I need coverage and this brush has helped me out with blending it into my skin. (As mentioned in last months favourites), Real Technique brushes are my favourite because they don't loose their shape when washed, they're synthetic and easy to blend make up with.

 NYX Blush; Mocha: I love my NYX blushes. This one in particular, I have been wearing every day this month. It's so gorgeous! It's a pink-slightly peach shade with a gorgeous sheen. It looks super natural on the cheeks and makes you look healthy. NYX blushes are so easy to blend out and have an amazing colour pay off.

Essence Lash & Brow Gel Mascara: Been obsessing over this very in expensive clear brow gel from Essence. I haven't been filling in my eyebrows lately because (1) I'm too lazy and (2) my eyebrows are thick and too much to handle *laughs*. So I have been using this brow gel to keep my eyebrows in place and I love it! Super easy to use, it doesn't make your brows crunchy but keeps them in place all day. You can also use this as a clear mascara but I have just been using this on my eyebrows. If you're looking for a super cheap brow gel then give this a go.

Revlon Colorburst Laquer Balm; 110 Coquette: I have really been in love with this lip product. I did a first impression/review on this and I have been obsessed every since. I love the sweet minty scent and moisturising sheen. This is a perfect every day pink that will look good on every skin tone. It's very soft on the lips and has a decent lasting power.

Maybelline The Elixir; 025 Mauve Mystique: Another lip obsession. These things are always talked about so I thought i'd see what the hype was about and now i'm hooked. This is a mauve pink shade and super glossy and gorgeous on the lips. It's long wearing and smells pretty. I was really impressed with the colour pay off for a lip gloss and would highly recommend these to try. Definitely want to try out more of the shades.

Garnier Skin Natural Moisture Match; Normal to Dry Skin: I usually have oily skin but lately my skin has been feeling dry and dehydrated so I thought i'd give this a try. It's for normal to dry skin but they have these moisturisers for different skin types. I've been loving this product as a daily moisturiser because it's light weight, silky and super soft on the skin. It has given my skin a lot more hydration and I use this before I do my make up in the morning. This doesn't have SPF so I would probably start using it at night when the weather starts to get warmer and the sun shines brighter.

Music obsessions
I want to include some of my music favourites for the month because these songs are too good to not mention;

1. Best Mistake - Ariana Grande
2. Gasoline - Troye Sivan
3. Waking Up in Vegas - Katy Perry
4. Shake it Off - Taylor Swift
5. Maps - Maroon 5
6. Maybe You're Right - Miley Cyrus

♡ These are my August Beauty Favourites + Music. What have you been loving?
