Confidence

We’re always constantly comparing ourselves to other people, whether it is celebrities, friends or people around us. Confidence is what makes us look and feel our best. I’m in absolute no state of mind of being confident. It’s not exactly easy. It takes a lot of determination and willpower. I thought writing this blog post would remind me and hopefully remind whoever is reading this a guide to feeling confident.

The number 1 rule when it comes to feeling confident is to respect yourself. Accepting who you are and loving the body you were born with. It’s not easy especially being in this society. It’s important to love ourselves before we love anyone else. Don’t waste time on people who don’t make you feel good about yourself!

Surround yourself with good and happy people. True friends are the ones who still love you on your worst days. They’re the ones that aren’t going to care if you have no make-up on, or if your hair is messy. It’s important to feel safe around the ones who love you.

Do what makes you happy. There’s nothing better than feeling happy whilst doing something you love. Do the things you love to do, don’t do what other people want you to do.

Be you. It’s so important to be yourself. If your not, it’s very easy to tell. You don’t want to be hiding from the world. The world has lots of things, and it only has one of you!

Be kind to yourself. Everyone makes mistakes and no one is perfect. Forgiving yourself is just as important as forgiving those around you. You need to live in the moment not the past. It’s good to look back on things that make you happy but do you really want to look back and think how nasty you were to yourself?

Stop comparing yourself to others! I know we get told this all the time, and I still do it. It’s very important to accept yourself. Know that even celebrities have their bad days. We don’t see it but it’s true. You’re the one that has your own beautiful features, no one else but YOU. Too many days are wasted comparing ourselves to others, wishing to be something we aren't.

SMILE! I know how hard it can be to smile on your worst days. But a cheeky grin can make others around you feel comfortable. You’d be surprised on how even the smallest smiles can cheer up a social situation.

It's hard, a little mind training will do the trick!

Celeb Style File: Selena Gomez

If Selena Gomez isn't your style crush, then I don't know who is. This gorgeous one keeps it classy yet sexy at the same time. I'm OBSESSED with her style, and I want her whole closet. That being said, i'd thought i'd share some of my favourite Selena looks with you..

I'm obsessed with this outfit on Selena, I love how it's chic and still gives a 'bad girl' vibe to the look. Cute way to style boyfriend jeans. Style this look down by adding white converse, and a baggy shirt.

I LOVE this look, I love how Selena is wearing the same outfit but changed the jacket to give a different vibe. The white blazer gives a classy feel to the look which is super stunning. This woman knows how to make a light wash pair of jeans look on trend!

Selena keeping it casual with her Starbucks yet still looking gorgeous in her high waisted dark wash jeans. The purple bag corresponds to the tie-dye denim jacket. You can go nuts with different styles of crop tops, paired with high waisted jeans. It looks super flattering.

Love this outfit, perfect for Spring/Summer. Comfy yet still fashionable. These fedoras are on trend at the moment. They add a boho feel to the look. Pair this outfit with a little heal to make it more dressy.

Another favourite look on Selena. I love how she incorporates a nude heel in most of her outfits. It       looks stylish and makes the outfit look a little more dressed up. Selena always knows how to style ripped jeans. The baby blue crop and black leather bag make this outfit more girly.

A cute and simple way to style a flannel. Pair it up with black baggy pants, sunnies, a light coloured tank underneath and a bright, bold bag to make it stand out.

The famous 2 piece that Selena wore on her lunch with Kendall Jenner. I think social media exploded on this day. I love love love this colour on Selena. And, how amazing does her hair look! Selena accessorised with a white bag and white heal to tie together with the blue outfit.

Little bit more on the edgier side of Gomez. I love how she paired a cute grey dress with combat boots and a leather jacket. Adding boots or a leather jacket can make the outfit look effortless but still chic and on trend. I also admire how the dress is a little below the knee so you can see the combat boots. This is also a great what to style a leather jacket

Another edgy side of Selena. Black high waisted jeans + black crop top + army jacket = perfect way to style combat boots. And also a fun way to dress a cargo style jacket. Love the casual side of Selena with the low messy bun, minimal make up. She looks super stylish and gorgeous.

Selena wore this out and about in LA for breakfast. Ripped tank, ripped jeans, blue fedora and boots. Super cute and stylish. The blue fedora gives the look a pop of colour which is on trend this season.

Selena wore this gorges outfit in Italy. She paired this white lace dress up with Brian Atwood heels.
You can dress this look down by paring it up with sandals and a cute floppy hat.

Skincare Favourites

Having a good skincare routine can really make a difference to your make up. I have pretty sensitive skin, in the sense that my skin goes bright red when a product doesn't agree with me. I am no "skincare expert",  The knowledge I get is from the products my mum buys on her grocery list. Lucky for me, the products she purchases I find work well on my skin.

The number one rule when it comes to skincare is using products that don't contain lots and lots of ingredients. I like to keep it simple because I have sensitive skin, no toxic chemicals, no fancy scents, just simple products with minimal ingredients in them. Drinking loads of water also has a huge impact. I have been drinking 1-2L of water everyday and within a week my skin has thanked me for it... Now getting on to the fun stuff;

These are the products I've been loving for a while now. So, I'd thought i'd share them with you.
These products I find work well and don't irritate my skin.

Cetaphil Gentle Skin Cleanser - My all time favourite cleanser. This is perfect for all skin types and is the perfect every day cleanser. I use this every morning and night. It's soap and fragrance free and removes light makeup. It softens and cleanses my skin and doesn't block pores.

St. Ives Blemish Control Apricot Scrub - This exfoliator helps prevent blackheads and minimises pores. I use this 1-2 times a week and it leaves my skin feeling soft, smooth, fresh and clean. It contains salicylic acid which helps with acne and uses  100% natural extracts. This product does have a scent but it doesn't irritate my skin.

Formula 10.06; pores be pure skin, clarifying mud mask - I use this mask once a week or once every 2 week. Normally when I have a pamper evening. I leave the mask on for about 10-15 minutes, until it hardens. Then I wash it off and it leaves my skin feeling cleansed and soft. This product also has a berry scent, but it does not irritate my skin.

-

Simple Hydrating Light Moisturiser - No perfume and perfect for sensitive skin. This moisturiser leaves my skin feeling replenished, soft and hydrated. I apply it every night after my Simple facial toner.

Simple Soothing Facial Toner - Again no perfume so perfect for sensitive skin. I apply this to a cotton pad and use every night after washing with my cetaphil cleanser. It removes an excess make up or dirt on my face.

Nivea daily essentials extra gentle eye make up remover - I've repurchased this product twice. It's just your every day eye make up remover. I apply this to a cotton pad, hold for 20-30 seconds, wipe away and my eye make up comes off. I'm not sure how it goes with removing water proof mascara but it removes my waterproof eyeliner.

Swisspers Cucumber Facial Wipes - I usually would go for my Simple facial wipes but I ran out so i've been usuing these instead. These wipes remove makeup from the face, neck and eyes. It leaves the skin refreshed and soft. It's alcohol free and contains aloe vera, cucumber and vitamin E. It gently cleanses without drying out the skin. It doesn't irritate my skin like most facial wipes.

Benefit, It’s Potent Eye Cream - First of all how cute is this baby size! I love this eye cream. It's light, moisturising, brightening, effective and hydrating. It's a very smooth consistency and a little but goes a long way. I use this every night and noticed that my eyes aren't as dark anymore.

Clarins Beauty Flash Balm - This product brightens up the face. I apply this before my makeup and it makes me look not so 'dead' and much brighter. I only use this on special occasions or when my skin needs a little life back into it. You can use as this as a facial and it energises and soothes the skin.

So that's it really
